Hardware reconditioning

To keep maintenance costs “under control” and maintain the efficiency of the process, most of industry uses hardware reconditioning as a solution. This operation requests not only specific skills, but also necessary tools, testers, or calibrators often not available in factory. Than technical team may simply not have time to process this kind of work.

We must keep well in mind that replacement of high quality device, often chosen by installation/machinery supplier for very specific reasons, by a new, but inappropriate hardware, may create more problems than it solves :

The new device will malfunction after short time, so new one would be needed. The research of suitable part will occupy maintenance service, production, purchasing department for days, or even weeks. The original device may be scrapped in meantime, or partially dismantled, so reconditioning would become impossible.

Not always reconditioning of damaged, or malfunctioning hardware is possible, or an attractive option. Our first step is to make onsite diagnostic, as well as to check if customer's expectations correspond to our possibilities. Conclusions of this analyze we submit to the technical management, so the following decision is based on maximum information.
We dispose of our own well equipped workshop, with large possibilities to make various bench tests, or simulations. As we are not authorized (for the moment) to issue any safety certificates, our field of action is limited to the applications that are not related to the safety of the personnel.
